Urgent update from Apple to fix a security vulnerability in iPhone and iPad

Apple announced an urgent update to address a potential security vulnerability that threatens iPhone and iPad devices with hacking and spying. The American tech giant unexpectedly released the “iOS 14.7.1” update, just a week after it released the iOS 14.7 update.

This came after Apple discovered a vulnerability that allows the hacker to execute arbitrary code with “kernel” privileges, which basically allows him to penetrate devices.

In a support document, Apple urges all its users to download the new update, noting that it is available for “iPhone 6s” and later versions, all models of “iPad Pro”, “iPad Air 2” and later versions, and “iPad” generation. Fifth and later versions, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch seventh generation.

And about the impact of the vulnerability, the American company stated that it is able to execute arbitrary code with “kernel” privileges, and that “Apple” is aware of actively exploiting this problem.

The iOS 14.7.1 update also fixes a bug that breaks the Apple lock with iPhone integration, which prevents phones with Touch ID from unlocking the Apple Watch.

The iOS 14.7.1 update is available with a download capacity of 900MB.

On May 25, Apple announced that it had addressed a serious security vulnerability in its macOS operating system that could be exploited in order to take screenshots of someone's computer.

The vulnerability was also able to take pictures of his activity within applications or in video conferences without the knowledge of that person.

Apple patched the vulnerability discovered by researchers at enterprise cybersecurity firm Jamf in the latest version of macOS Big Sur 11.4.

And last March, Apple announced the release of the new update No. 14.4.2 to fill a serious security vulnerability in the “iOS” operating system.

The American company explained that the vulnerability lies in the Web Kit browser engine, which allows hackers to spy on the personal data of the user through fake web content.

Apple indicated that the vulnerability was already exploited; Stressing the need to install the new update urgently.

This vulnerability has been filled in some older devices as well, and here is the update number 12.5.2.
