Intel's new generation processors, Xeon Scalable 3rd generation (Ice Lake), have become available in the cloud service.
As the press service emphasizes, this is the first public cloud platform in Russia with access to the 3rd generation Xeon Scalable.
Now Yandex Compute Cloud users can select new processors as one of the possible CPU options and create virtual machines.
The 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors are manufactured using a 10nm process technology and are offered in configurations from 8 to 40 physical cores per processor socket. As a result, users of the Yandex Compute Cloud service on the Intel Ice Lake platform can create virtual machines with up to 96 vCPU cores and up to 640 GB of RAM.
