AMOLED Samsung E5 screen in iQOO 8 Pro can operate in 2K mode and 120Hz

Last week, sales of the new flagship smartphone iQOO 8 Pro started, which was the first in the world to receive an AMOLED Samsung E5 screen with a diagonal of 6.78 inches, a resolution of WQHD + (1440 x 3200 pixels) with an image refresh rate adjustable from 1 to 120 Hz.

Some high refresh rate flagship smartphones lower the screen resolution to avoid fast battery drain and overheating. However, the manufacturer clarified that the iQOO 8 Pro simultaneously supports a maximum resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a frequency of 120 Hz. In addition, it was reported that the polling rate of the sensor layer is 300 Hz, so the phone is perfect for fans of mobile games.

This is the first iQOO mobile phone to feature a Retina display with LTPO technology. The power consumption of the Samsung OLED screen made from E5 material is 25% lower than that of the screen made from E4 material. The local peak luminance is 1500 cd / m 2 and the global maximum luminance is 1000 cd / m 2.

The smartphone is built on the basis of the Snapdragon 888+ single-chip system, it received fast LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory, a 50-megapixel camera, a 4500 mAh battery with support for 120 W wired charging, 50 W wireless charging and 10 W reverse wireless charging.
