Sources say the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 have nearly half a million pre-orders starting August 17 and ending today August 23. It is also assumed that the total number of pre-orders can reach 600,000 units, and if we also take into account the unlocked models, then a total of 800,000 smartphones can be bought on pre-orders. And now attention: only 80,000 people bought Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 smartphones by pre-orders.
The new foldable smartphones are especially popular with a young audience. According to mobile operators, about 49% of Galaxy Z Fold3 smartphones are ordered by customers between the ages of 20 and 30. As for the Galaxy Z Flip3, 57% of the pre-stock comes from this same category of users.
Samsung is still the only major smartphone brand to have released several generations of foldable smartphone models and continues to grow its market share. There is also Huawei with the Mate X series, but the company's business in the smartphone market is getting worse due to US sanctions.
