Hackers got hold of AMD and Intel confidential data

Gigabyte has fallen victim to hackers. Unidentified attackers used the ransomware RansomEXX, allegedly seizing 112 GB of data in the end.

So far, there is no confirmation of the leakage of this data from Gigabyte, although the hacker attack affected the performance of some sections of the company's website.

The hackers themselves threaten to release confidential documents related to Intel, AMD, and American Megatrends. For confirmation, the hackers published several pages of documents that are covered by a non-disclosure agreement.

The amount demanded by the cybercriminals was not reported. Gigabyte has so far confirmed the fact of the attack itself and has already contacted the police.
