Huawei has announced the start of accepting pre-orders for the Huawei Nova 8 smartphone in Russia

Huawei has announced the start of accepting pre-orders for the Huawei Nova 8 smartphone.

It is available to Russian users at a recommended retail price of 39,999 rubles, which is almost the same as the traditionally lower Chinese prices (where the price starts at $ 505 or 37 thousand rubles).

When pre-ordering, customers are promised a "benefit from 16,000 rubles" - the user receives free completely wireless Huawei FreeBuds Pro headphones, which separately cost 14,990 rubles, as well as a secret additional gift. Orders will be accepted until August 19 inclusive, and then open sales will begin.

The Russian Huawei Nova 8 is slightly different from the Chinese version that debuted in December 2020. The main difference is the simpler SoC Kirin 820E instead of Kirin 985. The EMUI 12 shell has become a separate mystery, which has not yet been officially presented by Huawei, but it is mentioned both in the press release regarding the arrival of the new product in Russia and in the list of characteristics on the official Russian website of Huawei.

Huawei Nova 8 is equipped with a 6.57-inch OLED display with Full HD + resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels) and with an image refresh rate of 90 Hz, as well as an embedded 32 MP front camera, a main quadruple-camera (64 MP, 8 MP, 2 and 2 MP), 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal flash memory, a 3800 mAh battery with support for 66 W fast charging, there is support for NFC. Google services and applications are not installed, AppGallery is used to install applications.
