MediaTek has introduced two single-chip platforms for mid-range smartphones - Dimensity 920 5G and Dimensity 810 5G. Both are produced according to the 6 nm technological process, and both are already being shipped to manufacturers of finished devices - serial models based on them are promised already in the current quarter.

The first smartphone on Dimensity 810 5G will be the Realme 8S. This single-chip system includes a CPU with four Arm Cortex-A76 cores at 2.4GG and four Arm Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz, an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and, in fact, a 5G modem. The manufacturer notes that the performance of Dimensity 810 is 20% higher than the performance of its predecessor platform.

The new SoC supports displays with a frame rate of 120 Hz, LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 memory, image sensors with a resolution of up to 64 megapixels. There are also built-in Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 adapters.

The Dimensity 920 5G CPU is also split into two clusters: four large 2.5GHz Arm Cortex-A78 cores complemented by four 2.0GHz Arm Cortex-A55 cores. GPU - Arm Mali-G68 MC4. Declared support for LPDDR5 and LPDDR4X memory, UFS 3.1 and UFS 2.2, screens with a frame rate of 120 Hz, and cameras with a resolution of up to 108 megapixels.
