Meizu will unexpectedly release another flagship more powerful than the Meizu 18

In early August, two new Meizu phones were certified by the Chinese regulator TENAA, and now there are reports that the company is preparing to release another flagship that will be more powerful than the Meizu 18 series released earlier this year.

This news came as a surprise since earlier Meizu announced a strategy according to which it plans to release only two flagship smartphones once a year (this year it was Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro).

The new Meizu flagship is expected to be built around the Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC, which many manufacturers will use for their flagship phones, scheduled for release in the second half of this year.

We don't yet know what the new Meizu phone will be called, but there have been speculations that Meizu might call it the Meizu 18s or Meizu 18T. The device could very well be a slightly improved version of the Meizu 18.

As for the second smartphone that has passed certification, then we can talk about a more affordable smartphone based on Snapdragon 870 or Dimensity 1200.
