Xiaomi today unveiled the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro, the company's first tablets in the past three years. In addition to modern components, they will also bring with them a new version of MIUI called MIUI for Pad.
MIUI for Pad is essentially a redesigned version of MIUI 12.5 for tablets. It is known that many Android applications do not yet support full-screen mode. However, Xiaomi claims that MIUI for Pad offers full-screen app mode along with split-screen mode.
That being said, the company also mentions that only 300+ core apps are well optimized for MIUI for Pad. At the conference, Xiaomi officially announced that by the end of the year it will adapt more than 2,000 apps for MIUI for Pad.
Xiaomi is asking app developers to join the Xiaomi open platform to improve the health of the tablet app ecosystem.
