Xiaomi announced the improved MIUI 12.5 on August 10 during the announcement of the Mi Mix 4, and later promised to complete the distribution of the update among the 12 models forming the first wave until August 26 inclusive. As it turned out, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced will receive more smartphones from the company.
Which one and when is not yet clear, but Xiaomi has already announced that there will be a second and third wave of the update. That is, a potentially large number of Xiaomi and Redmi smartphone models will receive MIUI 12.5 Enhanced - it is possible that all models for which the usual MIUI 12.5 has been released (or will be released) will receive the firmware. Also, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced will be released for global models - sold outside of China. It is not yet clear when this will happen, but according to rumors, the global release of the improved MIUI 12.5 may take place as early as September.
