Motorola, a company owned by the Chinese Lenovo, has announced the start of accepting pre-orders in Russia for its new flagship smartphone Motorola Edge 20 Pro.
For the international market, Motorola Edge 20 Pro was presented at the end of July, and sales were supposed to begin in August in a number of regions with a starting recommended price of 699.99 euros (60,923 rubles).
Motorola Edge 20 Pro is offered to Russian users at a price reduced for the pre-order period of up to 39,990 rubles. Pre-orders will be accepted from today, August 27, until September 6 inclusive. After the end of accepting pre-orders, the recommended price will be 45,990 rubles. Available in white and blue body options.
As we can see, the Russian price is much lower than the recommended price for Europe. Nevertheless, it was not possible to find significant technical differences between the international and Russian versions.
One of the highlights of the Motorola Edge 20 Pro is its main camera. For the first time, Motorola used a periscope module for itself - it provides 5x optical zoom, and in total with digital zoom it turns out to be 50x. The resolution of this module is 8 megapixels. Optical image stabilization is provided. The 108MP main module has a 1 / 1.5-inch optical format with Ultra Pixel technology, which combines nine pixels into one large 2.1-micron module. As noted by the manufacturer, this improves light sensitivity by 9 times and provides high image quality in low light conditions. There is also a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module with a viewing angle of 119 degrees, which is also suitable for macro.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.7-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution, with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a 32-megapixel front camera, a 4500 mAh battery with support for 30 W charging.
The hardware base is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 single-chip system, the smartphone is equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 flash memory. Supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, moisture protection (IP52). The fingerprint scanner is located on the side of the smartphone. The operating system is Android 11.
