Unfortunately, the very popular Nvidia Shield TV will not receive Android TV 10. The company decided not to waste energy on creating an update, since the new version of the system does not give users anything.
Development for Shield is still in full swing, and it was only recently that we had a release. Android 10 was not used for Android TV, so we decided to skip it as the effort was great and did not have a significant impact on end-users other than changing the version line. Also, we no longer discuss our roadmap in advance, but I can tell you that Shield is still supported.
It is impossible to say unequivocally, but the last proposal gives hope that by skipping Android TV 10, Nvidia will focus on a more recent version of the TV operating system and release it for its set-top box.
