Panasonic has introduced an unusual wearable gaming speaker system (Wearable Immersive Gaming Speaker System or WIGSS) SoundSlayer SC-GN01. This device can be compared to headphones, but, unlike them, the SC-GN01 is worn not on the ears, but on the shoulders, looking like a collar. According to the manufacturer, "the unique ergonomic design" allows you to "comfortably enjoy realistic surround sound, immersed in your favorite game."
SoundSlayer WIGSS has three game modes: RPG mode, first-person shooter mode, and voice mode.
The former is ideal for RPGs and is optimized for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. It is said to create a sense of reality so that players feel like they are inside the virtual world of the game.
