Samsung Galaxy Buds2 first update brings new features

Samsung unveiled not only the Galaxy Watch4 foldable smartphones and smartwatches but also the new Galaxy Buds2 fully wireless headphones on August 11.

Galaxy Buds2 has just started shipping in the first regions, and Samsung has already released a firmware update for them. The update brings not only bug fixes and stability improvements but also a number of new features.

The first Galaxy Buds2 software update numbered R177XXUA0UH2 is 2.97MB in size. The update is currently being rolled out to users in South Korea and should be rolling out to other regions in the coming days.

The update contains several features that were not working on the headphones at the time of launch, including support for Ambient Sound during calls, two new active noise-canceling options - the ability to enable noise canceling on one or two earbuds, and also adjust Ambient Sound. In addition, it becomes possible to control certain functions by double-clicking on the edge of the headphones. This feature was introduced in the Galaxy Buds + and then appeared in the Galaxy Buds Pro.
