Samsung Galaxy Note20 and even Galaxy S21 lost to the bending smartphones Galaxy Z Flip3 and Z Fold3

Samsung received 920,000 pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G in South Korea alone, according to the source. This means that in just a week, the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G has outperformed the Galaxy Note20 and this year's flagship lineup, the Galaxy S21, on pre-orders. Prior to that, it became known that the Galaxy S21 surpassed last year's Galaxy S20 series on pre-orders.

If you remember last year's Galaxy Z Fold2, then just a couple of days before the device hit the market, the company announced that it had 60,000 pre-orders in South Korea. These data directly indicate that a new era of foldable smartphones has arrived.

Most of the new orders come from the more affordable Galaxy Z Flip3 - it is chosen by about 70% of buyers, while the more expensive Z Fold3 is purchased by about 30% of buyers. This information was provided by the editor of Bloomberg. However, given the difference in price, this state of affairs is quite logical. The Galaxy Z Fold3 is also reported to be about 4 times more popular than its predecessor on pre-orders.

This data is for South Korea only, however, demand is reported to be strong in Europe as well. Samsung yesterday emailed customers in Germany stating that certain versions of the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Watch4 Classic were being delayed due to high demand.

Later, similar information came from the UK and France, where Galaxy Z Flip3 shipments were postponed from the end of August to September 9 or later.
