Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G IPX8 smartphone unveiled with quadruple external screen

Samsung has introduced a small clamshell smartphone Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, which is equipped with a foldable screen. This is the third generation of this line. The smartphone is available in beige, green, lavender, and black with new cases with rings and straps.

Galaxy Z Flip3 was estimated at 89,990 rubles for the version with 128 GB of memory and 94,990 rubles for the version with 256 GB. The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G pre-orders are eligible for 1 year of Samsung Care + certification. Exclusive Z Flip3 colors including gray, pink, and white will also be available on Samsung.com.

A feature of the novelty is the quadrupled external screen, which makes it easier to view notifications and messages without having to open the smartphone. The 1.9-inch Super AMOLED display at 60Hz has a resolution of 260 x 512 pixels at 302 ppi. You can also easily take a selfie or record a video when folded by double-clicking the power button.

The main foldable 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen supports an adaptive image refresh rate (10-120 Hz). The phone received improved stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. 

The smartphone is built on the basis of the Snapdragon 888 single-chip system and received 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The main camera has two image sensors with a resolution of 12 megapixels, which are protected by Super Clear Glass (Gorilla DX). The front camera has a resolution of 10 megapixels.

The battery capacity is 3300 mAh, 15-watt wired and 10-watt wireless charging, as well as PowerShare reverse wireless charging, are supported. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side. The smartphone is IPX8 rated (Samsung's first waterproof clamshell with a flexible screen) and supports LTE and 5G networks.

Samsung has announced the possibility of acquiring the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip at a 40% discount and a replacement for a new device in a year.
