Samsung Electronics unveiled its next-generation Galaxy Z Fold3 5G foldable smartphone with a flexible screen today at Galaxy Unpacked.
In Russia, the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G is offered at a suggested retail price of 159,990 rubles for the 256 GB version and 169,990 rubles for the 512 GB version. When pre-ordering the Galaxy Fold3, the user will receive a gift case with an S Pen and a Samsung Care + certificate for a period of 1 year. In Russia, black and green versions of the case are available for order. There is also a third option on the international market - silver.
Compared to last year's Galaxy Z Fold2, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 boasts improved screens both external and internal, a new SoC, a hidden camera under the screen, water protection, lighter weight and supports S Pen.
The smartphone received a 7.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz, a resolution of 2208 x 1768 pixels, a 6.5-inch external Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a resolution of 2268 x 832 pixels with a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz, and an embedded front camera on 10 MP (1.22 μm, F2.2).
Hidden under the main screen is a 4-megapixel camera (2.0 microns, F1.8), it becomes visible only when necessary.
The main triple camera combines ultra-wide-angle (1.12 μm, F2.2), wide-angle (1.8 μm, OIS, Dual Pixel autofocus, F1.8) and telephoto modules (1.0 μm, OIS, 2x zoom, F2.4), all at 12 megapixels.
It is based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 258GB or 512GB UFS 3.1 internal flash memory. There is no support for memory expansion cards.
The 4400 mAh battery supports 25 W wired charging and 10 W wireless charging, wireless charging of other gadgets is possible.

Samsung has also launched the Samsung Upgrade subscription program for the new Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3. It allows you to use the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 with monthly payments and replace it with a new device after a year. The monthly payment for using the Galaxy Fold3 will be from 7,990 rubles and from 4,500 rubles - for the Galaxy Flip3.
In addition, within the framework of the Samsung Upgrade program, it will be possible to upgrade to another Galaxy flagship (S21, Note20, S20FE) for free during the first three months.
