Seven Laowa lenses now available in new variants

Chinese lens maker Venus Optics has announced that seven models from the Laowa brand are now available in new variants, with different mounts than those already available. They are all designed for mirrorless cameras. Depending on the lens, these are options with Nikon Z, Canon RF, L, and Canon EOS-M mounts.

For example, the Laowa 4mm f / 2.8 Fisheye lens with a 210 ° field of view, suitable for APS-C cameras, is now offered in a version with a Nikon Z mount. Previously, this miniature and lightweight (only 135 g) product was produced in versions with mounts MFT, L, Fujifilm X, Sony E, and Canon EOS-M.

The Nikon Z mount also offers the Laowa 9mm f / 2.8 Zero-D, Laowa 9mm T2.9 Zero-D Cine, and Laowa 15mm T2.1 Zero-D Cine lenses. These are wide-angle lenses with corrected distortion, that is, a large angle of the field of view in them is combined with orthoscopic projection - straight lines in the frame remain straight. The first two models are suitable for APS-C cameras, while the third is full frame. The second and third models are optimized for video shooting. The Laowa 15mm T2.1 Zero-D Cine is now also available with an L mount.

The L-mount version now offers another full-frame wide-angle video lens - the Laowa 12mm T2.9 Zero-D Cine. The new variant complements the options with Canon EF, Canon RF, Sony FE, and PL mounts.

The Laowa 24mm f / 14 2X Macro Probe is now available in Nikon Z and Canon RF mounts, arguably the most unusual macro lens in the Venus Optics catalog. It was previously available with Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony FE, L, Pentax K, and Arri PL mounts.

The Laowa Argus 33mm f / 0.95 CF APO APS-C lens, previously available with Nikon Z, Canon R, Sony E and Fuji X mounts, is now also available with Canon EOS-M mounts.
