A description of the SuperNOVA 1000 GT power supply has appeared in the EVGA catalog. This 1000W PSU has topped the SuperNOVA GT series. Previously, the most powerful in the series was the 850W SuperNOVA 850 GT. The series also includes 750 GT and 650 GT models with 750 and 650 watts respectively.
Like other models in the SuperNOVA GT series, the new PSU is 80 Plus Gold certified and has a modular cabling system. Component cooling is handled by a 135mm hydrodynamic bearing fan, which does not start until the load exceeds 30%. At the same time, until the load becomes more than 85%, the noise level does not exceed 20 dBA.
The power supply unit is built according to the scheme with one 12V bus. In its description, the use of only Japanese capacitors is noted. The unit is equipped with protection against various emergency situations. SuperNOVA 1000 GT dimensions are 86 x 150 x 150 mm. This PSU comes with a 10 year warranty. The novelty costs 190 dollars.
