Tamron 18-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD launch date announced

A page for the Tamron 18-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD (Model B061) lens has appeared on the website of a large photography equipment store B&H. As you know, Tamron announced the development of this lens for mirrorless cameras a month ago. Then the manufacturer gave only some technical data and limited itself to a promise to release the lens in versions with Fujifilm X and Sony E mounts this year. Note that this is the first Tamron lens to feature a Fujifilm X mount. In addition, the Tamron 18-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD (Model B061) is the world's first APS-C mirrorless camera lens featuring a zoom ratio. (the so-called ratio of the longest focal length of a zoom lens to the shortest) 16.6x.

The appearance of the Tamron 18-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD page on the B&H website indicates an imminent release of the product. No launch date has been posted on the website, but the source filled the gap with the Tamron 18-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD promotional brochure, which said the Sony E mount variant would be available on September 24th. The Fujifilm X mount variant will be available at a later date. The brochure also contains the lens specifications. Unfortunately, the price of the new item remains unknown.
