Tetraphobia forced Realme to cancel Narzo 40 series

Earlier this year, Realme introduced Narzo 30A, Narzo 30, Narzo 30 5G, and Narzo 30 Pro 5G in several markets. Fresh information indicates that the Narzo 30 line will be replaced by the Narzo 50 series.

The Realme smartphone with RMX3430 has been approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards of India (BIS) and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand (NBTC). While the former does not reveal anything, the latter confirms that it is a 4G LTE phone that will debut in the market as the Realme Narzo 50A 4G.

Realme is missing the "4" in their device names. As a reminder, the company hasn't released phones with names like Realme 4 or Realme X4 / X40. The reason is that many Chinese brands are afraid to use the number "4", which is consonant with the word death.

Currently, nothing is known about the characteristics of the Narzo 50 line, which may include Narzo 50A, Narzo 50 and Narzo 50 Pro. The latter two are likely to hit the market in both 4G and 5G versions.

Last year in September, the Narzo 20A, Narzo 20, and Narzo 20 Pro were announced. The company may be planning to release next-generation Narzo phones in September as well.
