The user disassembled his GeForce RTX 3090 and found an extra item inside

The owner of the GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition video card, while disassembling his adapter, found an extra item. A Reddit user decided to disassemble his graphics card in order to replace the thermal pads on the memory chips, as they heated up to 110 degrees.

However, during the disassembly process, he discovered between the cooler and the microcircuits what you can see in the photo above. This is a special fingertip used by workers at the factory when assembling video cards, so as not to leave marks on the PCB and the case.

Since it somehow got between the memory chips and the cooler, this interfered with the heat sink, which led to high memory heating. After removing the foreign element, the temperature dropped to 86 degrees, which is the norm.
