These Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones support the 3, 2 and 1 GB RAM expansion function

The Memory extension feature in MIUI first became available on Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones this spring. At the moment, Kacper Skrzypek, MIUI translator, insider and software developer, has published a list of devices that already support the MIUI memory expansion function, and may also support it in the future.

According to Katzper Sksipek, the following smartphones Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco currently support MIUI memory expansion, with some already receiving stable firmware, while others are still available in beta versions.

Supported Expansion Devices:

All phones with Snapdragon 888, 870, and 865 (except Mi MIX Fold as it hasn't received MIUI 12.5 yet)

  • Poco X3 GT
  • Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G
  • Redmi Note 9 5G
  • Redmi Note 9T 5G
  • Redmi 9T
  • Redmi note 8

Devices that may receive memory expansion in the future:

  • Xiaomi Mi MIX 4
  • Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite NE
  • Redmi note 10
  • Redmi Note 10S
  • Redmi Note 10 5G
  • Redmi Note 10 JE

  • Other unannounced phones

The source adds that devices with more than 128GB of flash memory can add up to 3GB of RAM. Devices with 128GB and 64GB of storage can add 2GB and 1GB of RAM respectively.
