Upcoming Intel Arc Graphics Cards Will Support DisplayPort 2.0

Intel Arc graphics from the Alchemist line, which will be released in early 2022, will receive support for DisplayPort 2.0. This information comes as Intel has released an initial set of 17 patches for the i915 kernel graphics driver for Linux. These include various low-level driver changes for DisplayPort 2.0 processing capability.

In the same way, a couple of days ago, we learned that AMD Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards will also support DisplayPort 2.0. Most likely, the same will be true for the next generation of Nvidia cards.
