Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro with 4nm Snapdragon 898 are codenamed Zeus and Cupid

A well-known insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station has confirmed that the new flagship series of Xiaomi smartphones consists of two models, which are codenamed Zeus and Cupid.

Presumably, they will be released under the names Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. We will remind, yesterday it became known that the new Xiaomi smartphones will no longer have the Mi brand in the name. The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11 lines have three models each (there is also an Ultra). Most likely, the company Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro will also make up the Xiaomi 12 Ultra model, which will be presented in the spring for the 12th anniversary of Xiaomi.

The Xiaomi 12 is expected to be the first to receive the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC, which is manufactured using a 4nm process technology. Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 will have a three-cluster architecture. The platform will include a Cortex-X2-based super-core, large Cortex-A710-based cores, and small Cortex-A510-based cores.

The Xiaomi 12 series will be equipped with a Samsung E5 LTPO screen with an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. This will ultimately help reduce the power consumption of the device. The same screens are expected in the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. The Xiaomi 12 should support 120W fast wired charging and 100W wireless charging.

Out of the box, the smartphone will run MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition. The fact is that recently there was information that it could be presented as early as November this year.

Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications and release dates of the Redmi K30, K40, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11.
