The head of Xiaomi Lei Jun (Lei Jun) on his page on the social network Weibo published information that exactly 10 years ago, on August 16, 2011, the company's first smartphone called Xiaomi Mi 1 was presented. He also posted a photo in which representatives of the Xiaomi Mi line are shown.
The smartphone was offered for 1999 yuan (about $ 300) online only. It was released on September 13th and was immediately ordered by over 300,000 people. The company had to work actively for about three months. Only by December 17, they were able to send all the starting orders.
The number of users who patiently waited for us for several months and paid the full amount for a smartphone was 184 600 people. The company announced last week that these users will receive 1,999 yuan in appreciation.
