Xiaomi introduced improved MIUI 12.5 instead of MIUI 13

Rumors said that in August Xiaomi could present its new shell for smartphones MIUI 13. But as today's conference approached, it became clear that the August announcement of MIUI 13 would not take place. However, today Xiaomi still delighted fans with a new shell, it is called MIUI 12.5 Enhanced.

The improved MIUI 12.5 did not receive any new features, but it is optimized at all levels - from the bottom (that is, capabilities at the level of the shell core) to the top (interface). According to official figures, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced uses 15% less CPU load and uses an average of 8% less power. Improved management of background processes and structuring of files in memory (in a laboratory simulation of the Mi 11 Pro, the decrease in the speed of reading and writing data for 36 months of work was only 5%). In total, 160 system-level improvements have been made to the shell.

MIUI 12.5 will be released on August 13 for 12 smartphone models: Mi Mix 4, Mi 11 and Mi 10 models, Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K30S Extreme Commemorative Edition and Redmi K30 Pro.
