However, the next line, Ada Lovelace, can present a completely unpleasant surprise in this regard. According to the source, GeForce RTX 40 video cards will rise in price compared to the current generation models.
The flagship of the line, the GeForce RTX 4090, is expected to cost $ 3,000. Predicted prices for other models are as follows: GeForce RTX 4080 Ti - $ 2,000, GeForce RTX 4080 - $ 1,200, GeForce RTX 4070 - $ 800, GeForce RTX 4060 - $ 400. Compared to the current generation models, the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 are twice as expensive, the RTX 4070 by 70 percent, and the RTX 4060 by 20 percent. But these are the recommended retail prices. Taking into account the shortage in the market (and Nvidia believes that it will last the whole next year), real retail prices will be 1.5-2 times higher. In this case, the GeForce RTX 4090 may well ask for $ 5,000.
Of course, so far this is only a forecast, and a distant one, because more than a year remains before the release of Ada Lovelace. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that the GeForce RTX 40 will rise in price relative to the GeForce RTX 30, while the only question is how much.
