7Artisans 25mm F0.95 APS-C lens introduced


The 7Artisans 25mm F0.95 APS-C lens, preliminary information about which appeared a week ago, is officially presented. According to the manufacturer, the wide-angle high-aperture lens should go on sale later this month. It will join the Firefly series and will be offered in versions with Sony E, Nikon Z, Fujifilm X, M43, Canon M mounts. Later options with L and Canon R mounts will be added to them. The price has not yet been announced.

The optical design of the lens with a focal length of 25 mm and a maximum aperture of f / 0.95 includes 11 elements made of optical glass from Hoya in 9 groups, among which there are 3 elements of extra-low dispersion. The priority areas of the lens are landscape and travel photography. At the same time, the ability to gently blur the background makes the novelty "an excellent choice for a variety of scenes, from portraits in landscapes to still lifes.

The minimum focusing distance is 0.25 m. The stepless aperture allows for very smooth and soundless adjustment of the light flux, which is in demand in video shooting. Aperture change and focusing - manual. The lens barrel is made entirely of metal parts.
