The Apple Watch Series 7 smartwatch, unlike its predecessors, comes with a magnetic charger with a USB-C connector. As it turned out, Apple decided to put the same one with the Watch SE. At the same time, both Series 6 and Series 3, which remained in service after the release of the new model, are still equipped with a magnetic charger with a USB-A connector. Perhaps they will also have a similar replacement, but then it is not very clear why Apple did not carry it out at the same time for all current watches.
In general, at the moment, Apple has some kind of confusion on the issue of connectors. For example, the company switched almost all iPads to USB-C, but for some reason left the new base model with Lightning.
