Fixed Tamron SP 90mm F / 2.8 Di MACRO 1: 1 VC USD (F017) lens incompatibility with Nikon Z cameras

Tamron has published a message regarding the incompatibility of the Tamron SP 90mm F / 2.8 Di MACRO 1: 1 VC USD (F017) lens with Nikon Z cameras. Recall that this lens has been available in versions for Canon, Nikon and Sony SLR cameras  since 2016 . With the release of Nikon Z mirrorless cameras, it became possible to use these and other Tamron lenses with them by attaching them through the Nikon FTZ adapter. However, not all lens models were found to be compatible with the new cameras. Then the manufacturer spoke in detail about the situation , promising to gradually fix it.

The owners of the Tamron SP 90mm F / 2.8 Di MACRO 1: 1 VC USD (F017) lenses had to wait more than two years. But the bottom line is the result: the lens firmware for compatibility is already available. The manufacturer specifies that it is not possible to install the update on its own using the TAP-in console. Please contact your Tamron distributor.
