Google May Launch Flexible Pixel Fold In October

Rumors about a flexible Google smartphone have replenished. This time, the source reports that such a device, which may be called Pixel Fold, may be presented in the fourth quarter of this year. The device will allegedly receive an OLED panel with Samsung's LTPO technology. Recall that at least the Pixel 6 Pro received a similar panel, perhaps not flexible.

The source, in this case, is the senior director of Display Supply Chain Consultants, so the information should be taken as sufficiently verified.

Considering that the full announcement of the Pixel 6 has not yet been made, the Pixel Fold may well be part of the corresponding presentation, which will take place in October. It is also worth noting that in the event of the announcement, the flexible Pixel smartphone will actually act as the only branded competitor for the Galaxy Fold3 available on the global market. Adjusted for the fact that Pixel smartphones are only officially available in a few countries, of course.
