Google Pixel 6 Pro tested in benchmark

The official premiere of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones is expected in October, but the top model has already been tested in the Geekbench benchmark. What is the result?

It can be said to be average or even lower. In a single-threaded test, the smartphone scored 414 points, in a multi-threaded test - 2074 points. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 scores 1113 and 3538 points, respectively. Let's hope that Google and Samsung (according to rumors, the developer of the proprietary SoC Tensor is a Korean company) will finalize the platform by the time the official sales of Pixel 6 start, but what cannot be ignored is the SoC configuration.

In it, as in all modern top platforms, there are three clusters, but if in the same Snapdragon 888 the fission of cores is described by the formula "1 + 3 + 4", then in two Tensor clusters there are two cores, and in the third - four. That is, it turns out that the SoC Tensor received not one, but two Cortex-X1 super cores. The CPU frequencies of all Tensor clusters are: Cortex-X1 - 2.8 GHz, medium cores - 2.25 GHz, small cores - 1.8 GHz.

According to Geekbench, the Pixel 6 Pro has 12GB of RAM. As for the OS, Android 12 plays its role. Recall that Pixel 6 smartphones should be the first production models with Android 12 OS.
