Honor today at its headquarters in China signed a strategic partnership with Microsoft: after splitting from Huawei, Honor is no longer an obstacle to using Windows for laptops and third-party SoCs for its smartphones. So, in just 4 months, the share of Honor laptops in China increased from 1.4 to 6.6% and then it will clearly continue to grow.
The news of the strategic partnership came alongside the official teaser for the company's new flagship laptop, the MagicBook V 14. It will be unveiled on September 26th during a major announcement event. It is already known that the MagicBook V 14 will be the first Honor laptop with Windows 11 preinstalled, but this model will also receive a dual camera with 5MP sensors. The camera will clearly be used in the Windows Hello biometric identification system.
