Huawei is going to return to the leaders and will not sell the smartphone business

At the Huawei Full Connect Conference, successive Huawei chairman Xu Zhijun said Huawei's smartphone division is indeed facing significant challenges amid US sanctions.

He admitted that Huawei 5G mobile phones are difficult to buy right now. However, he stressed that Huawei will not abandon the mobile phone business or sell it. Plus, the company is working hard to get its smartphone business back on track. However, the company admits that it may take several years for it to establish itself.

At the launch event for the Huawei P50 series, Huawei CEO Yu Chengdong said Huawei had to face four rounds of US sanctions.

The recently launched Huawei P50 series does not have 5G models, although the smartphones are equipped with the modern Snapdragon 888 and Kirin 9000 SoCs. Since the launch of the P50 series, prices for older 5G models such as the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 40 have skyrocketed.

In March of this year, the successive chairman of Huawei, Hu Houkun, said that compared to last year, the company's mobile phone business has been hit hard.
