iPhone 13 Pro Max vs Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphones compared in a major camera test

Probably the first major camera review of the iPhone 13 Pro Max from a well-known source has appeared on the web. In this case, it is blogger Mrwhosetheboss with over 8.5 million subscribers. He compared the new product with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Videos on YouTube, of course, do not allow you to independently evaluate the sources of photos and videos, so you have to consider the existing picture and trust the author.

As a result, the author came to the conclusion that the cameras of smartphones are quite close when comparing all modes. Samsung won four subtests, iPhone three. It was not possible to single out a winner in five more.

If we talk about the strongest sides of both participants, then Samsung is, of course, primarily a TV camera. More precisely, two television cameras with optical zoom x3 and x10 and 100x digital zoom. The iPhone 13 Pro Max has only one telephoto camera at 3x zoom, although just at 3x zoom, smartphones are generally equal.

iPhone 13 Pro Max's Night Mode is noticeably better than its predecessor. At the same time, by default, the picture is taken literally two to three seconds, so there is no advantage over the competitor. But if you manually select the maximum 10 seconds, then the result is much better than that of the Samsung flagship.

In general, at least this test suggests that the cameras of smartphones are close, although in one scenario or another, one or another device may be better.
