IPhone 14 lineup will have three models with 120Hz displays

Apple supply chain sources report that at least one of the iPhone 14 series models will use an LTPS OLED display with a typical 60Hz refresh rate. This is the standard iPhone 14.

However, there will be three more models that will receive LTPO displays with adaptive refresh rates up to 120 Hz. In this year's iPhone 13 lineup, only the Pro and Pro Max models use a variable refresh rate LTPO display. In addition, Samsung supplies all panels for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. However, it is now reported that LG will enter the supply chain of LTPO panels from next year. The company will become the second supplier of these displays to Apple.

The source confirms that regardless of the sales results, the iPhone 13 mini will be Apple's last compact flagship. The iPhone 14 lineup won't have a model with such a tiny screen. iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will receive a 6.06-inch screen. The iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a larger 6.68-inch display.

It is expected that smartphones will receive a single-chip Apple A16 Bionic system. iPhone 14 will get a dual main camera again. It is not yet known whether Apple will change the location of the two modules, but there are already plenty of jokes about the possible design of the camera on the Web.

As it became known, the first smartphones iPhone 13 have already been sent to future owners.
