MSI names Optix MEG381CQR Plus world's first HMI gaming monitor


MSI introduced the Optix MEG381CQR Plus gaming monitor this week. In its description, the manufacturer singles out "a completely new concept" - HMI. This abbreviation stands for Human-Machine Interface or Human-Machine Interface. However, only one sentence is given to explain the essence of the innovation and what the user gets as a result. According to MSI, the HMI makes the process more convenient and intuitive" by sharing a control called the Gaming Dial and a second monitor. 

The monitor uses a 37.5-inch concave IPS panel with UWQHD + resolution (3840 x 1600 pixels). It is characterized by the typical brightness of 400 cd / m 2 and the peak brightness of 600 cd / m 2, the contrast of 1000: 1, a reaction time of 1 ms, and the pixel viewing angles of 178 °. Supports Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate adaptive sync technology and refresh rates up to 175 Hz. The screen covers 96.2% DCI-P3 color space and 128.7% sRGB color space. The monitor is VESA HDRDisplay 600 certified.

The equipment of the device includes two HDMI 2.0 inputs, one DP 1.4 input, a three-port USB 3.2 Gen1 hub, a microphone input, and a headphone output. The monitor is decorated with RGB backlighting. The kit includes camera support that can be moved around the top of the monitor and an elastic mouse cord holder that attaches to the bottom of the monitor.
