Tesla CEO Elon Musk said today that with new semiconductor factories planned or under construction, the global chip shortage hitting the auto industry this year will be short-lived.
“There are a lot of chip factories under construction right now,” Musk said during a joint session with Stellantis and Ferrari Chairman John Elkann at Italian Tech Week. "I think by next year we will have a good opportunity to ship the chips."
