Philips 279M1RV Ambiglow Gaming Monitor Designed for Xbox

Philips unveils 27-inch 4K gaming monitor 279M1RV. The monitor received the Designed for Xbox sticker, but using HDMI 2.1 to connect the console limits the frame rate to 120Hz, although the monitor supports Nvidia G-Sync technology and up to 144Hz. In other words, to unleash the potential in this area, you need a suitable gaming PC.

The monitor is based on an LG Nano IPS panel. It has a typical brightness of 450 cd / m², but the maximum brightness is higher, as evidenced by the VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. The contrast ratio is 1000: 1, the response time is 1 ms, and the viewing angles are 178 °. Coverage of the DCI-P3 color space is 98%, the NTSC color space is 112%, the sRGB color space is 133%, and the Adobe RGB color space is 110.1%.

In addition to three HDMI 2.1 inputs, there is one DisplayPort 1.4 and one USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode and 65W PD support. There is also a USB 3.2 hub with one upstream and four downstream ports, two of which support fast charging (up to 1.5A per port). Finally, there are two 5W speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Mention should be made of the proprietary Ambiglow backlight technology. The stand is adjustable in height, tilt and swivel angles. The 279M1RV costs about 845 euros.
