Production of Carbon 1 MK II moved to Europe

This spring, the Carbon 1 MK II was introduced , the world's first phone with a monolithic carbon fiber body . It was released by the German manufacturer Carbon Mobile for 800 euros. Carbon Mobile announced some important changes this week.

The Carbon 1 MK II mobile phone was originally manufactured in China, but the company recently announced that it had moved its manufacturing base to Germany, where it is manufactured in a former Motorola factory. At the same time, the company cooperates with the distributor Ingram Micro.

Although final production has been moved from China to Germany, Carbon Mobile is still inseparable from the Asian supply chain. The camera, body and other components of the Carbon 1 MK II are still manufactured by Asian companies.

The good news is that the Carbon 1 MK II will be priced immediately by 200 euros, meaning it can now be purchased for 600 euros.

The Carbon 1 MK II has a 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels (18: 9), protected by Victus Gorilla Glass. The smartphone is built on the basis of the Helio P90 single-chip system, it received 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.1 flash memory. The 3000 mAh battery can be charged up to 50% in half an hour. The main camera uses two 16-megapixel image sensors, the front camera has a resolution of 20 megapixels. The phone received Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD, NFC, GPS, USB-C.
