Redmi K40S: Snapdragon 870, 50 MP and 6.7-inch OLED screen at 120 Hz

In the second half of last year, Redmi launched the K30S Extreme Edition model. It is an inexpensive flagship with an LCD screen and is powered by Qualcomm's flagship platform. Now a well-known insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station has revealed details about the Redmi K40S smartphone.

An insider got access to an engineering sample of the Redmi K40S, which is based on the Snapdragon 870 single-chip system. It is equipped with a 50-megapixel camera that allows you to take pictures with a resolution of up to 6144 x 8192 pixels.

As for the display, the model ditched the LCD screen in favor of a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen will be flat with no side bends.

Other sources suggest that the Xiaomi 11T smartphone, which will be launched on global markets on September 15, will later be released in China under the name Redmi K40S.

The Xiaomi 11T lineup will have two models, including the older one, which in terms of characteristics will resemble the Xiaomi Mix 4. The smartphone will receive a Snapdragon 888 single-chip system, a 5000 mAh battery and support for 120 W fast charging.
