Russia: Huawei is looking for volunteers to test HarmonyOS 2.0

Huawei has announced the imminent launch of beta testing of its proprietary operating system HarmonyOS 2.0 in Russia. Unfortunately, only MatePad Pro and MatePad users will be the first to join the test, while smartphone users will have to wait.

As noted by the manufacturer, only tablets officially intended for sale in Russia will be able to participate in the testing. Those interested can apply for participation here at this link

Testing will start in mid-October and the update will come automatically. It will become available for such models:

  • Huawei MatePad Pro (build number 102.0.0.202) - MRX-W09, MRX-W29, MRX-AL09;
  • Huawei MatePad (build numbers 10.1.0.211, 10.1.0.220, and 10.1.1.2105 - BAH3-L09, BAH3-W09, BAH3-W59).

All these versions are still running the Android operating system with the proprietary EMUI shell. Note that in Russia in the summer, sales of the updated MatePad and MatePad Pro models ( review ) began immediately with the installed HarmonyOS 2.0.
