A well-known insider under the nickname Ice Universe announced that Samsung is preparing to release the first laptop equipped with a foldable screen, which will be called the Samsung Galaxy Book Fold 17.
Three years ago, it was reported that Samsung was developing a similar device. The laptop was shown in a concept video at SID 2021, which took place this spring.
Perhaps the real laptop will be different from the computer image shown in SID 2021. The video demonstrates a device with very narrow bezels around the perimeter of a 17-inch display, as well as a sub-screen camera.
Last year, Lenovo announced the ThinkPad X1 Fold laptop with a 13.3-inch foldable OLED display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. It was first debuted at CES 2019 as the world's first folding PC.
Ice Universe has a large number of confirmed leaks to its account, which, in particular, relate to new image sensors and Samsung technologies. He also announced that Samsung will release 200 and 50MP ISOCELL image sensors tomorrow.
