Samsung Galaxy F42 5G smartphone presented

Only yesterday Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy M52 5G smartphone, and today (and also in India) debuted a more affordable 5G model Galaxy F42 5G. It doesn’t have such a powerful platform as the new Galaxy M line, but the price is lower. At the same time, the characteristics are quite at the level of similar models of Chinese brands.

Galaxy F42 5G is built on the MediaTek Deimensity 700 single-chip system, has 6-8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal flash memory. The IPS display with a teardrop notch features a 6.6-inch diagonal with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a frame rate of 90 Hz.

The main camera is represented by sensors with a resolution of 64, 5 and 2 megapixels (a 5 megapixel one is connected with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2 megapixel one is used to analyze the depth of the scene). The front camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor. There is a fingerprint scanner, but not a subscreen one, but a side one. The smartphone configuration also includes a standard headphone jack and USB-C port.

The Galaxy F42 5G runs Android 11 with One UI 3.1 and has a 5000mAh battery with 15W charging support. The dimensions and weight of the smartphone are 167.2 x 76.4 x 9.0 mm and 203 grams. The basic version of the Galaxy F42 5G with 6 GB of RAM will cost the first customers $ 245, the version with 8 GB of RAM is estimated at $ 270.
