The South Korean company is trying to bury any evidence of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE smartphone by removing all references to it. Samsung has removed Galaxy S21 FE pages from its official websites in a number of regions, including Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, Levant, and others. Prior to that, the brand added support pages for the device with model number SM-G990B, which was the biggest confirmation of its existence.
The device was supposed to be presented back in August, then the presentation was postponed to October. Earlier this week, a Samsung spokesperson confirmed that the company canceled the launch of the Galaxy S21 FE 5G in October and is considering releasing the Galaxy S21 FE 5G.
The company is believed to have done this for a number of reasons. First, there is a continuing shortage of microcircuits in the world. Second, Samsung has twice been denied in the US for more chips for smartphones. Third, the Galaxy Z Flip3, which sells just fine, also needs Snapdragon 888 SoCs.
Samsung's recent actions clearly indicate that the company has canceled the devices. Due to a shortage of components, the smartphone maker is forced to cancel the Galaxy S21 FE in favor of existing models that are already selling well.
