Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus on the Exynos 2200 platform first appeared on the web

Let the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones come out only at the beginning of next year one of the representatives of the line has already appeared on the Web, in the Geekbench benchmark database. This is a Galaxy S22 Plus model with part number SM-S906B. What is the test result?

1073 points in a single-threaded test and 3389 points in a multi-threaded one - this is roughly the level of the current Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100. It is possible that the smartphone was tested in energy-saving mode, then its maximum performance is slightly higher. But the Snapdragon 898 coming out in November-December, according to preliminary data, will be 20% faster than the Snapdragon 888, and whether the Exynos 2200 will be able to keep up with it is still a question.

The Exynos 2200 platform is built on the principle of three clusters, like most modern mobile SoCs. The ARM Cortex-X2 super-core is clocked at 2.59 GHz. There are three more high-performance Cortex-A710 cores with a frequency of 2.5 GHz and four energy-efficient ones with a frequency of 1.73 GHz. Also in the SoC configuration is an AMD Radeon Mobile GPU based on the RDNA2 architecture and an integrated 5G modem. As for the Galaxy S22 Plus itself, it is equipped with 8GB of RAM and runs Android 12. All Galaxy S22 models will receive Android 12 preinstalled, but the release of the beta version of the latest Google OS for the current flagships of the Galaxy S21 series is being postponed.
