Samsung will alternate Galaxy S and Note series releases each year

According to a well-known insider under the nickname Ice Universe, Samsung has already begun work on the successor to the Galaxy Note 20 smartphone, which was released more than a year ago. Ice Universe cites a supply chain whistleblower who has seen evidence of the existence of a new flagship in the Galaxy Note line. It is not yet known whether the new phone will be called the Galaxy Note 21 or Note 22.

The Galaxy Note line is ten years old this year, but the anniversary smartphone has not seen the light of day. Recently, it became known that Samsung did not renew the rights to the Galaxy Note trademark, which suggested that the series is buried there. Dutch edition Let's Go Digital does not consider this a sign of line cancellation, as the respective trademark registrations are valid until April 2023.

However, it seems that a global chip shortage has played a major role in the fact that this year we did not receive the new Galaxy Note. The company is trying to provide a sufficient number of components for its smartphones series Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Because of this, the release of the Galaxy S21 FE was also delayed, although the smartphone has already passed all the necessary certifications before the start of sales.

The YouTube channel Jimmy Is Promo, which is watched by about half a million viewers, also says that Samsung was not going to cancel the line. The source adds that Samsung will rotate Galaxy S and Note series releases each year, as requested by some fans.

Ice Universe has a large number of confirmed leaks to its account, which, in particular, relate to new image sensors and Samsung technologies. He recently accurately predicted that Samsung will release 200MP and 50MP ISOCELL image sensors.
