TASCAM introduces the Mixcast 4 station, which is suitable for podcasting, live streaming, event creation, or voiceover. The device can mix and record microphone inputs, internal sounds and music through the pads of the system, as well as through the external audio input of a phone or PC.
The device has an internal 14-track recorder that records to an SD card. With a wide range of features and TASCAM Podcast Editor software, it offers a complete audio production environment from project preparation to completion. The software fully integrates with Mixcast 4 with intuitive graphics and simple controls, eliminating the need for a DAW experience.
Features are also provided, which include 4 combo TRS / XLR mic inputs and 4 separate headphone outputs, allowing four users to interact with each other, while an auto mixing function that adjusts to optimal volume levels for comfortable operation. Mixcast 4 comes with 8 fully customizable sound pads and a built-in soundbank. In addition to the preset sound effects, users can assign new sounds or pre-recorded microphone sounds. It is also possible to use real-time voice effects such as voice transformation, reverb, and more.
It offers several additional features, including a built-in 14-in / 2-out USB audio interface for direct multitrack recording to a computer or other device, as well as support for a Bluetooth connection that allows you to record phone calls or play background music from paired smartphones or tablets.
The TASCAM Mixcast 4 offers 1/4 ”TRS stereo line inputs for the main monitor and 3.5mm TRRS on the front panel for mixing and recording phone calls or inputting other sound sources such as musical instruments. It is possible to connect to a PC, which allows the device to import sounds from a computer.
TASCAM Mixcast 4 Podcast Station will be available in the third quarter of 2021.
