The first Huawei laptops are presented with support for Android applications


Huawei unveiled two new notebooks in China on Monday, the MateBook 13s and 14s. The main highlight of the announcement was that these are the first Huawei laptops with support for Android applications. For this, a proprietary solution Huawei Mobile Application Engine is used. As the manufacturer promises, users will be able to work with mobile applications on a laptop in the same way as on a smartphone. 

MateBook 13s and 14s received touch screens with a diagonal of 13 and 14 inches, respectively, a resolution of 2520 x 1680 pixels, an image refresh rate of 90 Hz, weighing 1.32 and 1.43 kg, enclosed in metal cases, 60 Wh batteries, battery life work - up to 13 hours. 

The laptops will go on sale from September 25 in the following variants:

  • Huawei MateBook 13s with Intel Core i5-11300H, 16 RAM and 512 GB SSD - $ 1,084;
  • Huawei MateBook 13s with Intel Core i7-11370H, 16 RAM and 512 GB SSD - $ 1239;
  • Huawei MateBook 14s with Intel Core i5-11300H, 16 RAM and 512 GB SSD - $ 1,084;
  • Huawei MateBook 14s with Intel Core i7-11370H, 16 RAM and 512 GB SSD - $ 1239;
  • Huawei MateBook 14s with Intel Core i7-11370H, 16 RAM, and 1 TB SSD - $ 1394.
